The value of Coaching:
Do you believe you are capable of looking after your self? Do you trust your self? We are all natural, whole and creative and we have to practice: we have to practice being natural, whole and creative; and, sadly, in our culture we sometimes have to practice believing we are natural, whole and creative, because there are so many external force drawing our attention away from our own hearts. I support people on their journey to loving themselves so they naturally, wholly and creatively choose to love themselves into a sense of peace & well being. We are pieces of nature who need vitamins, minerals, sunlight and water.
“What clients need", said Rogers, "is not the judgment, interpretation, advice or direction of experts, but supportive counselors [coaches] and therapists to help them rediscover and trust their own inner experience, achieve their own insights, and set their own direction.” (http://adpca.org/content/history-0)

I offer Coaching to support clients with...
- personal health & wellness goals toward a greater sense of peace & well being over all.
- not being in perfect health for all of our lives. We can still find a sense of peace & well being within our selves; because it's not just what happens to us, it's how we react to circumstances.
- creating successful change; we don't need to change our whole life today; we just work with today and change what we can. With practice, our lives begin to unfold differently.
What my Teacher & Mentor has to say about my Coaching:
"Real Balance Global Wellness Services, Inc. has trained over 6,000 health and wellness coaches worldwide, and I would have to say that Suzanne Ballantyne is definitely in the top 5% of our most outstanding students. I say this not only because of the skill and acumen she has demonstrated, but also because of the sincere dedication she shows to helping people be well. For anyone seeking a masterful ally in their life journey to health and wellness, or any organization looking for an outstanding employee, I'm happy to recommend Suzanne." - Dr. Michael Arloski (see this on LinkedIn)
How do you actually, actively practice each day?
"We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then is not an act but a habit." -Aristotle
I work with individuals and families to create practical steps ...
- so that we can all learn how to create healthier habits in our homes & lives before health issues start
- and so that we can reduce and eliminate health issues in future generations
Research now tells us that it is possible to re-express our genes (epigenetics) through the practice of different lifestyle habits than the ones with which we grew up. And I know this first hand; my family seems to have eliminated early on-set heart disease in one generation. (At 55, I am the youngest of 5 children and none of us have heart disease).
Wellness, Nutrition & Lifestyle Practice
Besides being trained and mentored in an accredited Health & Wellness Coaching Program from 2010-2014, I have been studying nutrition independently for more than 20 years; I am a Registered Yoga Teacher with a practice of nearly 20 years involving movement, attention to diet, lifestyle practices and meditation. I have a B.A. in Psychology and studied adult education and learning theory in a M.A. Program: History & Philosophy of Education. I have hundreds of hours of coaching experience and have coached individuals around the world in English and French (my second language).
After growing up in a family where heart disease was a daily concern. My father had his first heart attack at 38, like one of his uncles, who didn't survive the first one. My father passed away during his 3rd heart attack just before the age of 56. I was 20.
All of this has led me to experience my own transformations in health & wellness. I lost more than 60 pounds in my 20's; quit smoking in my 30's and slowly but surely have adapted my diet over the years so that I have avoided medications and diagnoses by 'treating' my self with food and supplements and lifestyle practices. In fact, I'm still changing and adjusting my practices; fine tuning and continuing to grow in my understanding of our bodies, our bio-chemistries and how food is our nourishment and our medicine. I am always learning and growing. Won't you join me on a path to greater health, peace & well being?
